Silver Eye Scholarship Program Application Deadline Approaches
Scholars @ Silver Eye are college seniors from Pittsburgh area universities who have been selected to participate in a year-long, intensive, work-based training program, at Silver Eye. The Scholars @ Silver Eye develop hands-on, fine art skills alongside curatorial and arts nonprofit management training.
Fellowship 24 Opens at Silver Eye

As a Scholar @ Silver Eye, undergraduate seniors have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a year long work study program to learn the ins and outs of curation and gallery management. During this time they are exposed to the diverse talents within the Silver Eye Community through artist talks, studio visits, and working hands on with the Lab @ Silver Eye, programming, and exhibitions.

Silver Eye Appoints Interim Director
Silver Eye Center for photography is excited to announce their new Interim Executive Director, Leo Hsu. Leo grew up in Pittsburgh and was deeply influenced by Silver Eye as a teenager experiencing photography. After many years away, he returned to Pittsburgh with his family, where he teaches in the Photography program at Carnegie Mellon University and had served on Silver Eye’s board.
Pittsburgh’s public art could be likened to the city’s fingerprint. It is unique, celebratory of local voices, and a testament to its post-industrial landscape.
As public art invites everyone to interact with the creative spirit of Pittsburgh, The (New) Pittsburgh Exposition offers seven public art sites in and around the city that have helped define its civic art scene.
