PGH Museums is excited to announce an expansion to its board of directors replacing departing board members Amanda Narcisi and Jeremy Lese and adding an additional two members. The powerful sound of the Battle Hymn of the Republic thundered through the majestic and commodious auditorium of Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hall and Museum, in the Oakland neighborhood of Pittsburgh, as the US Navy Band Sea Chanters closed out their Pittsburgh performance on a nationwide tour. Battle Hymn of the Republic, a song popularized during the American Civil War.

Occasionally, when you are starting to launch a new project, you get one of those messages that lets you know, ‘hey, I’ve got a great idea’. Early 2019 Amanda Narcisi sent me one of those messages when she texted me that she was learned about a museum project I was working on and that she was interested in getting involved. I remember the instant jolt of excitement that message sent straight to my heart as I realized this thing, PGH Museums, had a chance. I received a similar sensation, yet out of panic this time, when she told me three years later-this winter, she would be resigning from PGH Museums.
