Ceramic Residency Application Deadline Extended
The Pittsburgh Center for Arts & Media (PCA&M) is extending the deadline for their Ceramic Residency Program until July 1st. It’s not too late to apply to join their growing list of artists served through the ceramics residency program.
Millvale Music Festival Art District POV

Contemporary Craft Introduces New National Artists-In-Residence
Contemporary Craft announces their 2024-2025 National Artists-in-Residence. This is their second cohort and includes four short-term (one month) and two long-term (six months) residencies, with artists working across a broad spectrum of craft mediums and techniques. The first resident will start in July 2024.

PITTSBURGH GLASSBLOWER ON NETFLIX'S BLOWN AWAY
Pittsburgh glassblower Leana "Quade" competes in "Blown Away" Season 4, a glassblowing competition on Netflix. All 10 episodes of Season 4 will be released on Friday, March 8, 2024. Quade, who is from Cleveland, lives in Pittsburgh and works at Pittsburgh Glass Center (PGC).

CMU School of Art Appoints Alisha Wormsley Asstant Professor of Social Practice
The School of Art is pleased to announce the appointment of Alisha B. Wormsley as Assistant Professor of Art in the area of Social Practice. Wormsley was previously a Presidential Postdoctoral Scholar, Visiting MFA Core Faculty, and Adjunct Professor of Art at CMU. She will begin her new position in Fall 2024.
Art-in-Ed Artist’s Book Residency Grant
Our Art-in-Education program (AIE) is a model for arts education and operates in conjunction with the Kingston City School District. AIE provides a high quality arts experience by bringing students to a professional artist’s workspace and giving them concentrated time to learn printmaking, papermaking, and book arts.
