Handmade Arcade Opens 2023 Holiday Market Call for Artists
Handmade Arcade opened applications for artists, makers, and craftspeople to participate in its 2023 Holiday Market. The 2022 Holiday Market brought over 11,000 shoppers and makers reported the highest sales numbers in the event’s 19-year history. Building on this record-breaking success, Handmade Arcade is excited to welcome 250 creators to participate in the region’s largest maker market.
Handmade Arcade Announces Makers for 18th Annual Holiday Market
Handmade Arcade is delighted to announce the selected makers for its 18th annual Holiday Market, which returns to the David L. Lawrence Convention Center Friday and Saturday, December 2-3, 2022. A keystone of Pittsburgh's holiday traditions, the Handmade Arcade Holiday Market is the region's largest, drawing approximately 10,000 shoppers each year.
Handmade Arcade announces largest call for artists since pre-COVID 19
Handmade Arcade is thrilled to announce their open call for artists, makers and craftspeople for their 2022 Holiday Market. Along with accepting applications for handmade vendors, the organization is also inviting creatives of all kinds to submit proposals to provide interactive experiences to delight and engage shoppers on the day of the market. The nonprofit organization, which has hosted the region’s largest maker market since 2004, is poised to provide artists, craftspeople, and makers with more opportunities to connect with customers and participate in Pittsburgh’s creative economy than ever before.
Handmade Arcade Announces 30 Emerging Makers Featured in April 30th Spring Market
Handmade Arcade will feature 30 brand new artists, craftspeople, and makers at its third annual Spring Market on Saturday, April 30 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Selected out of almost 200 applicants, this diverse group of regional artists hand craft products from playful clothing to joyful accessories to bold, colorful home decor. Hosted at Construction Junction in Pittsburgh’s East End, this free market also features live artist demonstrations, delicious fare from local food trucks, and more.
Pittsburgh’s public art could be likened to the city’s fingerprint. It is unique, celebratory of local voices, and a testament to its post-industrial landscape.
