Contemporary Craft Announces Teen Apprentice in Craft and Technology Program
The TACT program will begin with its fourth cohort of 10 teens from the Pittsburgh region in October 2024.
Contemporary Craft Introduces New National Artists-In-Residence
Contemporary Craft announces their 2024-2025 National Artists-in-Residence. This is their second cohort and includes four short-term (one month) and two long-term (six months) residencies, with artists working across a broad spectrum of craft mediums and techniques. The first resident will start in July 2024.

For this exhibition, Contemporary Craft invites artists working with craft media, (including but not limited to wood, metal, fiber, glass, ceramic, found object, and paper) to respond to themes of grief, loss, joy, healing, and mourning.

2023 LEAP Award - Applications Now Open!
The LEAP Award was established in 2007 in honor of Contemporary Craft Director of Exhibitions Kate Lydon’s 20-years of service. The program recognizes exceptional emerging talent in the contemporary craft field and provides opportunities for these early career artists to bring their artwork to the consumer market. The yearlong retail program features, markets and sells the work of one winner and four finalists. The winner also receives a $1,000 prize.

Contemporary Craft Launches Podcast - Sounds from the Studio
Contemporary Craft (CC) is pleased to announce the launch of its new podcast, Sounds from the Studio. Co-hosted by CC Executive Director Rachel Saul Rearick and Kahmeela Adams of RuggedAngel Productions, this monthly podcast launches with an interview with fiber artist Akiko Kotani.
