Nominate someone you admire for a Carnegie Science Award

Nominations are being accepted for the 2022 Carnegie Science Awards, the Science Center’s celebration of innovation genius! Award nominations are open for eight categories, including Most Inspiring Educator, Champion for Sustainability, Champion for STEM Equity and Inclusion, among others.

Last year’s Innovation Award winner (Samarjit Das, PhD) is lauded as a pioneer in the field of audio artificial intelligence (AI). Dr. Das led the team at Bosch that developed the core AI technology at the heart of the Sound See mission to the International Space Station (ISS). Maybe you know someone like Dr. Das or an educator who inspires their students to reach to new heights. You may even know an entrepreneur who is making positive change to the Pittsburgh region or a champion for sustainability.

By nominating, you can help someone you know and admire receive recognition for their trailblazing work. Click here to submit your nomination . All nominations will be accepted through June 10, 2022, and self-nominations are also welcome. Award winners will be honored at the newly minted, Geek Out Gala, a sleekgeek event celebrating Carnegie Science Award winners on Thurs., Oct. 13 at Carnegie Science Center. In addition, all Carnegie Science Award winners will receive a professionally produced, personalized video that they can use to share their work with others.
