Opening: Pride Art Show Carnegie Main Library

  • Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh Main Branch (map)

Opening June 2 , 10-2. Runs through end of June

My art is made from materials donated by friends, neighbors, fans of my work, and found objects, making it a community led process. As a gay man, who came out in the mid 1980s, and has had hiv for 33 years, I try to give new worth to the broken and discarded.
This show is a tribute to the lgbtq community that supported me after facing rejection from my family, at the age if 16, as well as a look at the history I lived with this community.
