The University Museum at Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) invites the community to a special talk and demonstration by Trish Dodson on Wednesday, November 20, from 7:00–8:00 PM. With over 30 years of experience in paper-making as an art form, Trish will share her journey and insights into the fascinating world of fiber arts. Participants will be invited to create their own handmade paper ornaments, with supplies available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Trish Dodson, who holds a bachelor's degree in art education and a Master's in Fiber Arts from IUP, will discuss the historical development of paper and its significance in her artistic practice. Attendees will have the opportunity to see firsthand the various techniques used in paper-making and learn about the diverse types of fibers that can be utilized.
This event is a wonderful chance for the community to engage with a local artist and explore the creative potential of paper. We look forward to welcoming everyone to this interactive experience.
The University Museum is dedicated to promoting the arts and education in the community. This event is open to the public, and all are encouraged to attend.
