Drop Spindle and Introduction to Spinning Class

Spinning has been around for thousands of years and was carried on at Old Economy Village as well.

Join us for a fun and informative class for beginners. In this hands-on workshop, you will learn how to card fiber from a raw fleece and spin your own yarn on a drop spindle. We will also discuss the spinning wheel and see a demonstration on one. All required supplies are provided. It is suggested that you wear appropriate clothing.

Recommended for adults and children over 12.

Children under 17 should be accompanied by an adult.
