Description:

The Wyckoff-Mason House is a historic log house located at 6133 Verona Road in Penn Hills Township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. Constructed between 1774 and 1775 by Isaac Wyckoff, it stands as one of the few remaining examples of 18th-century log construction in the Pittsburgh region. The house reflects the architectural style and building methods of early American frontier settlers and is notable for its rare craftsmanship and preservation. Despite undergoing some renovations over the years, the structure has largely retained its original form and historical character. In recognition of its cultural and architectural significance, the Wyckoff-Mason House was designated a Historic Landmark by the Pittsburgh History & Landmarks Foundation in 1970. The home offers a tangible connection to Western Pennsylvania’s colonial past and remains a valuable piece of the area’s early settlement history.
