Description:

The Longfellow School, also referred to as the Deniston School, stands at the intersection of Monroe Street and McClure Avenue in Swissvale, Pennsylvania. Constructed in 1902, it gained recognition by being listed on the National Register of Historic Places on June 28, 1984.

Originally built in 1902, this notable structure served as residential apartments until February 2012, when residents were forced to leave due to a determination by the Swissvale Fire Chief declaring it unfit for habitation. This historic site was officially registered on the National Register of Historic Places on June 28, 1984.
