Description:

Boss Hall is a historic residence hall nestled in the Margaret Morrison Avenue area of Carnegie Mellon University. Built in 1915, it’s one of the older dorms on campus and is recognizable by its brick façade and traditional early 20th-century collegiate architecture. The hall forms part of the Red House community and is popular with first-year students, housing around 70 individuals in semi-suite single and double rooms. It offers a warm, communal environment with shared kitchens, semi-private bathrooms, multiple study lounges, recreation and TV areas, laundry facilities, and a spacious outdoor courtyard. Each floor is supported by Resident Assistants who help foster both academic support and social connection.

Boss Hall’s distinctive red-themed identity, complete with a red panda mascot, contributes to its strong sense of house spirit and unity.
