Partial Closures JULY + AUGUST and Pittsburgh Glass Center

July and August are obviously hot and at Pittsburgh Glass Center it can be even hotter with temperatures in the glassblowing studio reaching over 120 degrees! At that temperature, it is nearly unbearable and unsafe to be blowing glass and making art. That makes this time of year the best time to cool off, turn off the furnace, and make repairs.
Plus, major construction will take place on our expansion in the next several weeks. For everyone's safety, we've limited the hours that we will be open to the public.

NEW HOURS JULY 17 - 31 + AUGUST 12 - 28
Mondays Closed
Tuesday-Friday 3pm-7pm
Saturday 11am-7pm
Sunday 11am-4pm
AUGUST 1-11 CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC

They apologize for the inconvenience. They’re not giving you the cold shoulder, just taking time to rebuild, refresh, and re-energize for your next visit. If you have any questions, call them any time at 412-365-2145 or email us at glassinfo@pittsburghglasscenter.org
