Opening Day and New Hours at Old Economy Village

Old Economy Village in Ambridge, Pa. will be opening on March 8, 2020 to celebrate Pennsylvania’s Charter Day. During opening day, guests will have the chance to sign a charter, get a sneak peek of the 2020 events, hear music, and tour the Village for free!

This year, Old Economy Village will be changing its hours of operation. The new hours will be changing to Thursday through Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Sunday 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Wednesday the site will be accessible by advanced appointment only. Call (724) 266-4500 to schedule a tour.
 
Old Economy Village is a gemstone site of the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission. Old Economy Village preserves and presents the life, thought, and material culture of the Harmony Society, a highly successful and entrepreneurial 19th century religious community.  Old Economy Village is administered by the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission and is actively supported by the Friends of Old Economy Village which is a non-profit community-based organization.  It is part of Ambridge’s Economy National Historic Landmark and is among the region’s most important historic sites.
