Jail Museum Tours on Most Mondays

The Old Allegheny County Jail Museum re-opened on Monday, February 3, for free guided tours led by Pittsburgh History and Landmarks Foundation docents.

PHLF was instrumental in creating the Jail Museum in part of a cell block that was preserved when Allegheny County renovated and converted the former jail to house the Family Division of the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas.

Visit the Museum to hear the whole story. The Museum is open from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. every Monday through October EXCEPT on court holidays.
