IT'S WHAT'S ON THE INSIDE THAT COUNTS

Union Trust Building.jpg

While the Union Trust building has a magnificent outside, you really have to see the inside.

Opening in 1917, the Union Trust Building was designed by the architect Fredrick J Olsterling and developed by Henry Clay Frick. It was originally named the Union Arcade with over 200 shops and galleries until the Union Trust Company bought the building in 1923.

The building is now owned by the The Davis Companies who have undergone a massive 100 MILLION dollar renovation. Not only are they upgrading and modernizing the building but they are actively preserving the history that makes the building special and beautiful.

As marvelous as the exterior of the Union Trust Building is, the inside is what blows our minds. You enter the building from one of four sides and, though stunning, resembles many other stunning lobbies within the city but as you come to the center of the building you can look up and see right to the top. We've done our best to capture this image, but pictures simply can't do it justice. We've attached some interior pictures for your viewing pleasure in the comments.

What is your favorite building lobby?
