The next installment in the film series of our new exhibition Working Thought, is on Saturday, April 9 at 1:30 p.m. at the museum. Set against the backdrop of the majority Black neighborhood of Watts in Los Angeles in the 1970s, Charles Burnett's 1978 documentary Killer of Sheep portrays a slaughterhouse worker and the complexities of balancing work and life as he struggles to support his family.
The film will be introduced by Pittsburgh-based filmmaker Chris Ivey.
