Wisdom & Wine: Stray Gas Migration Investigations in Northwest Pennsylvania

Spend the evening sampling the best wine our region has to offer while enjoying a presentation by Joe Lichtinger and Steve Lencer. They will explain the stray gas investigation process, explain the equipment and science used during our investigations, and provide examples of complex stray gas migration investigations we have completed over the past 15 years. Joe has been a geologist at the Department of Environmental Protection for 15 years, all in the oil and gas program. Prior he worked 10 years for a private engineering firm in York, Pennsylvania. Joe has a B.S. degree in geology and a M.S. degree in applied geology. Steve has been an inspector supervisor for 13 years, and an inspector for two (2) years, all in the oil and gas program with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection. Prior Steve worked for three (3) years with a conventional oil and gas drilling / service company, for 10 years operating and managing a landfill and hauling company in Leeper, Pennsylvania and three (3) years in surface coal mine operations in Northwest PA. $10 admission includes a lecture, wine samples, and appetizers. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Program begins at 6:30 p.m.
