Thursday, March 5, Drake Well Museum and Park will kick off Wisdom & Wine. This is the first installment of the museum’s annual Wisdom & Wine, formerly the Petroleum Program Series. This year’s four-part series is scheduled for every Thursday evening in March. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with a wine tasting presented by Brokenstraw Valley Winery. The lecture will begin at 6:30 p.m. 

The Wisdom & Wine’s full schedule of speakers includes: 

March 5 – “Restoring Native Vegetation for Oil & Gas Exploration Activities”

March 12 – “The Hidden History of Oil-Era Titusville"

– Jessica Hilburn, Titusville Author

March 19 – “Abandoned Wells of Oil Creek”

– James Sams, Mumbi Mundia-Howe & Natalie Pekney of The National

Energy Technology Laboratory

March 26 – “The Family Histories and Lasting Impacting of Coal Oil Johnny, the Oil

Region’s Prodigal Son”

– Jennifer Burden, Historian/Educator
