Travel to the Emerald Isle with Dublin-born composer Charles Stanford’s charming Irish Rhapsody. Known for her “exceptionally rich and vibrant tone” (Washington Post) Lorna McGhee, principal flute for the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra plays CPE Bach’s virtuosic Flute Concerto. Bach composed the work in 1748 while at the court of the flute-aficionado King Frederick the Great.
