Fascinated with Pittsburgh artist John Kane? Come to this special event featuring Maxwell King and Louise Lippincott authors of “American Workman: The Life and Art of John Kane." Kane, a featured artist in Gatecrashers: The Rise of the Self-Taught Artist in America, was a Scottish immigrant and “gatecrashing” artist who resided in the city at the turn of the 20th century. The afternoon will feature a fascinating presentation by King and Lippincott about their book, a wine reception with light hors d’oeuvres, and a book signing.
