The 37th Three Rivers Film Festival - Say Amen, Somebody

Three screenings kick off the opening night of the Three Rivers Film Festival, beginning Friday, November 8, with in-person presentations by directors, catered receptions and music!

Canadian filmmaker Guy Maddin (Brand Upon the Brain! and My Winnipeg) presents his found-footage Vertigo remake—The Green Fog at the Regent Square Theater (1035 S Braddock Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15218). A reception woth food and drink will follow afterwards with music provided by DJ Antithesis.

The Memphis Belle: A Story of a Flying Fortress, with Catherine Wyler (daughter of the film's director William Wyler) introducing the WWII Air Force bomber documentary, opens at the Rangos Theater, Carnegie Science Center (1 Allegheny Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15212)

The recently restored 1982 gospel documentary, Say Amen, Somebody (George T. Nierenberg) screens at the Harris Theater (809 Liberty Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15222). A reception with food and drink will follow with New Orleans gumbo styled music from The Red Beans & Rice Combo.

Opening Night films are $15 which also includes admission to post-screening celebrations at the Harris or Regent Square Theater with live music, food and drink.

For those who only want to attend the Memphis Belle screening on opening night without the reception at the Harris Theater tickets are available for $10.
