We are pleased to present the online premiere of @1minworld, featuring a recorded live performance in The Warhol’s intimate theater by performance duo, Princess, comprised of Alexis Gideon and Michael O’Neill (JD Samson & MEN). @1minworld is a video cycle and live performance piece about social media and our love-hate relationship with cell phone culture. Told through 15 one-minute danceable, vivid Pop Art music videos, this hyper-meta work is the first album built for and released exclusively on Instagram, using the social media platform as a means for delivery as well as material for the content. This piece is also among the first to leverage—rather than mask—the absence of a live audience; at moments Princess breaks the fourth wall in ways that could only happen in an online experience.
