Do you love to admire beautiful homes and gardens? Do you want to peek inside some of the most charming and historic houses in Manchester? Do you enjoy supporting local causes and community projects? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then you won’t want to miss Showcase Manchester, the ultimate home and garden tour in the neighborhood! After a few years off for the pandemic, Showcase Manchester is returning on Sunday, August 6th from 11:00am – 4:00 pm.

Showcase Manchester is a one-day event that invites you to explore 9 stunning properties, 10 lush gardens, and artwork from 4 artists in Manchester, each home with its own unique style and story.

You will see:

  • Manhattan Street row houses feature jig-saw porches with turned columns and classical cornices.

  • The north side of Liverpool Street, in the 1300 block, features semi-detached houses that appear to be connected with mansard roofs and double porches.

  • The 1200 and 1300 blocks of Sheffield Street have mansard roofs with cast iron crestings, brick and Richardsonian rock-faced lintels and sills, porches of ornately turned woodwork, some with turrets, elaborate stained glass transoms, and oval gable windows.

  • Artwork from local Manchester and Pittsburgh and nationally recognized artists

  • And more!

You will also get to meet the homeowners, learn about their design choices and gardening tips, and enjoy some refreshments along the way. During the event, visitors will be treated to a leisurely self-guided walking tour throughout Pittsburgh’s historic Manchester neighborhood.  Please be aware that this is a walking tour, and there are stairs at some participating homes.

Don’t miss this opportunity to discover the beauty and diversity of Manchester. Buy your tickets today and join us at Showcase Manchester, the home and garden tour that will inspire you!
