Carolyn Pierotti started her art career much later in life. Attending Carlow University, she found her voice artistically and professionally at the age of 40. This very special event will include select works that she created as a student, and will also include works that she has created over the last eight years. Developing and always changing, her work embodies motherhood, a celebration of the female form, while always pushing toward abstraction. This retrospective is a celebration of self, process, and aging. Carolyn is a proud Alum of Carlow University where she served on the President’s Board of the Humanities. She is the former VP and Exhibitions Chair of Pittsburgh Society of Artists, and Director of Percolate Gallery. She is not only an artist, she is a teacher, a curator, cultural producer, mother, and advocate. Her work has been collected locally, abroad, in private collections, as well as corporate.
