Website.png

Occupying more than six square miles of the hills south of Pittsburgh, Mt. Lebanon has evolved from a farming community in the late 18th century into the bustling community we know today. From its thriving commercial districts to its many subdivisions, Mt. Lebanon reveals the ways in which advances in transportation shape and change a place over time. This tour focuses on a one-mile stretch of Washington Road that passes through the business district and shows the mix of commercial, residential, educational, religious, and civic buildings on the route. The rich mélange of styles in which the buildings are designed to make Mt. Lebanon one of the most architecturally captivating suburbs in the region.
