LIT Friday: Ashley Ford during Gallery Crawl with performances by The Collective
The August Wilson African American Cultural Center kicks off the LIT Friday series in 2022 with a special IN PERSON event featuring Ashley Ford and moderated by Jessica Lanay at 6pm. This evening will be filled with events, as the building is open for the Gallery Crawl from 5:30 until 10:00 pm. In person Lit Friday with Ashley Ford from 6-7p. Followed by performances by The Collective, a local band from Pittsburgh from 7p-8p and 9p-10p. These events are free and open to the public. Masks required of all attendees. All attendees must show proof of vaccination and ID to enter the AWAACC.
Ashley C. Ford’s New York Times best-selling memoir, Somebody’s Daughter, was published by Flatiron Books in June 2021. Ford is the former host of The Chronicles of Now podcast, co-host of The HBO companion podcast Lovecraft Country Radio. She currently lives in Indianapolis, Indiana with her husband, poet and fiction writer Kelly Stacy, and their chocolate lab Astro Renegade Ford-Stacy.
Ford has written or guest-edited for ELLE Magazine, Slate, Teen Vogue, New York Magazine, The New York Times, Domino, Cup of Jo, and various other web and print publications.
