  • Huron comes from French pronunciation of Wyandot.

  • Bear claws are a symbol of strength, and power.

  • The standard ball war club was made from tree roots.

  • Turtle motif: the turtle in mythology carried the world, located in big blue waters, on its back.

  • Decorations on the medicine bag were made from porcupine quills: they are softened in water, shaped, dried.
