The Ann Arbor Film Festival is the oldest avant-garde and experimental film festival in North America, founded by George Manupelli in 1963. Internationally recognized as a premiere forum for independent artists, each year the festival offers remarkable cinematic experiences. This collection of shorts represents the audience favorites from 2018’s lineup. Selected by 3RFF curator Benjamin Ogrodnik, the 70-minute program is by turns beautiful, strange, and funny, spotlighting cutting-edge work in animation, documentary, and narrative. Accessible to people of all ages who may be new to experimental media.
