Derscription:

The Slickville Historic District, designated as a national historic district, is situated in Salem Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, and was inscribed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994. This district is home to ninety contributing buildings and one contributing structure, all located within the unincorporated village of Slickville.

Originating between 1916 and 1923, this mining town was established by the Cambria Steel Company. Within the district are various significant resources, including residences for workers and managers, four utilitarian mine-related structures, a church, a school, a pump house, and a company store. Following its establishment, the company-built community came under the ownership of Bethlehem Steel, which operated Slick Mine No. 91 starting in 1923. This recognition on the National Register of Historic Places highlights the importance of the Slickville Historic District.
