The Ross Furnace stands as a historic iron furnace situated in Fairfield Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. Erected in 1842, this stone structure boasts dimensions of 25 feet square at the base and a height of 30 feet. Noteworthy architectural features include a triangular work arch and a Roman blast arch. Operational until approximately 1850–1855, the Ross Furnace played a significant role in the region's industrial history. Its recognition on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991 underscores its importance as a historical landmark.
