Evergreen Hamlet, situated in Ross Township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, USA, is a cherished historic district with deep roots in local history. Founded by William Shinn in 1851 as a meticulously planned community, it stands as a testament to thoughtful urban development of its time. Notably, all four houses within Evergreen Hamlet were designed by Joseph W. Kerr (1815–1888), adding to its architectural significance. Recognizing its historical importance, the community was officially listed on the National Register of Historic Places on September 17, 1974.
