The David Shields House, also referred to as Newington, situated at the junction of Shields Lane and Beaver Road in Edgeworth, Pennsylvania, dates back to its construction in 1823. This architectural gem showcases the Federal style, characterized by its elegant design and classical proportions. Recognizing its historical significance, the house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on October 29, 1975, and also earned a spot on the List of Pittsburgh History and Landmarks Foundation Historic Landmarks in 1976.
