Location:
Bedford, PA 15522

Description:

Located at the entrance of Old Bedford Village in Bedford, this bridge, owned by the county, has a rich history. Originally constructed in 1880 in Reynoldsdale, it was relocated to its current position in 1975. Designed in the burr truss style, the bridge has undergone reinforcement with steel to accommodate the regular bus traffic to Old Bedford Village.

Maintaining its original unpainted appearance, the bridge features a roof made of Cedar shakes. Its deck comprises crossboard planks, while the sides are fully enclosed. Supported by poured concrete abutments, this bridge serves as both a functional and historical landmark in the area.
