Youth Invasion Quaran-Zine

Throughout the 2019-2020 school year, The Warhol's Youth Arts Council (YAC), gathered weekly in the museum to explore the galleries, connect with members of the arts community, and infuse their voice into public programming they designed for their peers. Despite the temporary museum closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic, YAC continued to meet virtually to re-imagine Youth Invasion since it could no longer take place in its original form. As a result, they produced a culminating virtual zine in the form of a video.

Youth Arts Council is a yearlong leadership program that invites a small team of high school students from across Pittsburgh to go behind the scenes, collaborate with museum staff and artists, create art, and develop public programs and events for other teens. Youth Arts Council participants receive stipends, gain professional experience working in a museum, and learn new skills and techniques.
