Punxsutawney Weather Discovery Center Reopens

Like most of the businesses and cultural establishments in the country, the Weather Discovery Center has been closed since March. But finally, we reopened on Thursday, June 25 at 10 a.m.

Of course, there are some changes. We will only be open Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. We will be disinfecting on a regular basis and visitors will be asked to follow some safety protocols. Read on below for our health and safety policies.

And we have some other good news! While we were closed, the design team from Carnegie Science Center finished and installed our new exhibit. Pull Up Clouds is ready and waiting for your first visit back to the Weather Discovery Center.

Finally, we have rescheduled some of our Boy and Girl Scout programming with special provisions for safety. See the schedule below. We will not be holding our annual Sloppy Science Day this year, nor will we hold Summer Camp. Let's all hope for a return to normal by next summer.
