PA Trolley Museum Becomes PGH Museums Affiliate

We’re excited to announce that the Pennsylvania Trolley Museum has decided to affiliate with PGH Museums offereing $2 off per family visit [excluding special events] with your PGH Museums membership card! Become a PGH Museums member, here.

The Pennsylvania Trolley Museum came to Chartiers Township, Washington County in February 1954 with three trolleys and a dream that was born in 1941. Today, that dream is a reality. PTM now boasts a collection of nearly 50 street and electric railway cars (20 of which are operational on the museum’s four mile ride), over 600 members worldwide, 150 active volunteers, and over 30,000 visitors each year.

The main appeal of the Pennsylvania Trolley Museum? Visitors don’t just “see” the past; they “experience” it for themselves on an unforgettable ride through the countryside. So be sure to stop by the museum sometime! With your support, either as a visitor or a member, we can fulfill our mission to keep the Trolley Era alive for generations to come, and continue to show how the streetcar played a vital role in the growth of 20th century American cities. (Information found from their Facebook page.)
