Letter from Bushy Run President

Hello members,

We're excited to announce that full-time hours at Bushy Run Battlefield begin on Wednesday, April 3rd. We're so grateful for our dedicated winter volunteers who ensured a smooth and busy season. Special thanks to PHMC maintenance manager Jesse Casale for keeping the park safe and welcoming!

The 2024 season is shaping up nicely! Museum Manager Matt Adams and the committees are hard at work, and we've welcomed three amazing new board members: Jim Comunale, Peggy Herron, and Nick Sopko. A heartfelt thank you to departing members Robin Turner, Wendy Steir, and Diane Braun. And a huge congratulations to Marlene Sawayda, our Volunteer of the Year – we'll celebrate her award  in Harrisburg on April 20th!

Exciting things are happening: the Sewing Circle is thriving, the Book Club is growing, and our "Love, Courage, and the Battle of Bushy Run" movie premiere was a hit! Keep an eye on our website and Facebook page for updates .

Thanks to a generous grant from the Pittsburgh Foundation Wish List, we've upgraded with a color printer and a new movie room projector.  Toyota of Greensburg is sponsoring a golf cart for this year's reenactment!
